Dear students,
I would like to invite you to attend the inaugural Open Expression Facilitator meet and greet breakfast this Wednesday, January 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Rockefeller Center’s Hinman Forum. Join us for coffee and treats from Lou’s as you learn more about the program and get your questions answered.
The Open Expression Facilitator program, launched in the fall of 2023, supports qualifying events hosted by student organizations, departments, faculty, and institutional groups. To date, the program has assisted nearly 75 events, including discussions with presidential candidate Marianne Williamson, former U.S. Representative Liz Cheney, and the Free Speech Symposium. The program provides trained faculty and staff who serve as viewpoint-neutral observers, helping ensure events run smoothly and mediating disruptions if they arise.
This meet and greet offers an opportunity to connect directly with the Facilitators, hear about their experiences, and learn how the program can support your events. For more information and a list of current Facilitators, visit the webpage here.
I am also excited to introduce the program lead, Ed McKenna, who has recently joined the Community and Campus Life team. Ed is available for consultations and can assist in arranging a Facilitator for your upcoming event.
We look forward to seeing you there and please feel free to share this message with your classmates!
best,
SVP Rosales
