Dartmouth Dialogues

Dartmouth Dialogues is our overarching university-wide initiative dedicated to facilitating conversations and skills that bridge political and personal divides. Programs within Dartmouth Dialogues are typically events that expose members of the community to thoughtful, intelligent, and interesting perspectives that might be different from their own.

Dialogue Project

The Dialogue Project is a signature initiative within the Dartmouth Dialogues umbrella. The Dialogue Project aims to teach the skills of dialogue and provide ample opportunities to practice those skills. The Dialogue Project aims to be everywhere on campus- elements are embedded in the classroom, in co-curricular activities, and as part of the climate. We want every Dartmouth student, faculty, and staff member to have opportunities to engage in dialogue through their everyday activities on our campus.

Outdoor Programs Office

The Outdoor Programs Office envisions bringing the outside in-into everything Dartmouth does, from academics to wellness to the first year experience. Dartmouth has long sold its sense of place as a reason to attend and thrive here. It is uniquely Dartmouth and should show up in all Dartmouth does. In our work, the OPO strives to uphold values of community, inclusivity, resilience, growth, and stewardship.
