State and Local Governments
About Our Office
Our office is the primary liaison between Dartmouth and the New Hampshire state government. We track and influence legislation that could impact our students, employees, research or operations, as well as topics that concern the Upper Valley community as a whole.
We also provide support to policymakers when requested or on items of mutual interest by engaging our experts and resources to produce testimony, participate on committees and commissions, and conduct research of use to state decision makers.
We facilitate relationships with our Congressional delegation for Dartmouth's employees and students, and serve as a resource to elected officials and representatives of federal agencies. Through collaboration with other universities and educational associations, we work to advance national goals critical to research universities, including policies and funding that affect research, student financial aid, immigration and philanthropic giving.
We are happy to support Dartmouth faculty, students and staff planning to contact the New Hampshire delegation around issues important to their work or with meeting requests.
