ROTC at Dartmouth

The Office of Military and Veteran Support works closely with ROTC and is available to help cadets navigate Dartmouth resources and balance military and academic responsibilities.

Military-Connected Students

Dartmouth’s military-connected community includes more than veterans and current service members. Students across Dartmouth’s undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools who are military spouses, dependents, or family members of veterans and service members are also an important part of our community.

The Office of Military and Veteran Support welcomes military-connected students from across Dartmouth and can help connect you with resources, community, and the appropriate offices within your school.

Some students may also be eligible to use VA education benefits based on a parent or spouse’s military service, including Chapter 33 – Post-9/11 GI Bill transferred benefits and Chapter 35 – Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA).

Students using these benefits should work with the School Certifying Official for their school for enrollment certification and with their school’s Financial Aid Office for questions about how VA education benefits interact with financial aid.

Faculty and Staff

Supporting Military-Connected Students

Faculty and staff play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for Dartmouth's military-connected students.

The Office of Military and Veteran Support works with campus partners to provide opportunities for faculty and staff to learn more about military culture, the veteran experience, and the resources available to military-connected students.

Vet Net Ally

Vet Net Ally training provides faculty and staff with an introduction to military culture and the experiences military-connected students may bring to campus.

Participants learn about military culture and terminology, the transition from military service to higher education, and ways to connect students with Dartmouth resources.

Interested in a future Vet Net Ally training? Contact the Office of Military and Veteran Support.
